Insurgent

Following on from Divergent..

The highly anticipated sequel to Divergent so we start straight on from the end of Divergent when they are on the train.

One choice can transform you-or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves--and herself--while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love. Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable--and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships. Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

The actions just doesn't stop in this movie, one moment you think everything is going to be alright and then the rugs gets pulled from underneath them and it is another thing to deal with.

You aren't sure who you can trust or not, there is also the romance aspect of it where Tris & Four are trying to make it work outside of the city and then in comes in Four's mother and she aren't sure if you like her or not.

You can see that Four and his mother haven't really have much of a relationship but in the end she manages to help them.

All while this is going on Jeanine is trying to find the Divergent that can open this mysterious box but all of them are dying during the simulation trials and then she finds out that Tris is the only person that can open the box.

However Tris opens the box but then you think she has died due to the simulation trials but you are in for a surprise on what happens next.

There is a lot of things going on with this movie, I definitely enjoyed this movie but different aspect to the first movie.

There is action, drama, suspense, romance, twist & turns and lots more... if you enjoyed Divergent are going to definitely enjoy this one.

However you are going to wait until next year to find out what I think of Allegiant because it is split into two so I will only watch the first part when the second part comes out.. I don't want to want to wait a year to find out what happens in the end!!

Enjoy!! xx

NCIS: Los Angeles Pilot

Deeks, Kensi, Nell, Eric, Sam, Hetty & Callen
The only reason that I started watching this series is because of a couple.. as I have mentioned before you have been reading this blog that I watch a lot of couple videos and then a lot of video get recommended to me.

The couple that I was watching is Densi which is Deeks & Kensi and they are people on the left hand side on the bike. However unfortunately Deeks didn't join the cast until late into the first season so I had to power through until I saw him then I could relax.

I have seen a few episodes of NCIS and really enjoyed it and I was tempted by this one so I gave it a try.

The Naval Criminal Investigation Service's Office of Special Projects takes on the undercover work and the hard to crack cases in LA. Key agents are G. Callen and Sam Hanna, streets kids risen through the ranks.

The chemistry between the characters, I personally think that the chemistry between actors/characters defines whether the show makes it or breaks it. This one definitely makes it. I am binge watching it at the moment despite all the action there is a lot of humour within the episodes especially from Hetty & Densi.

This series is for somebody that isn't afraid of blood and shooting.

Divergent

So I realise that I am really behind with the times with this post but I just want to clarify that I did watch this when it first came out but seeing as the first part of the 3rd movie has just come out.. I thought it seemed fit.

Set in a futuristic dystopia where society is divided into five factions that each represent a different virtue, teenagers have to decide if they want to stay in their faction or switch to another - for the rest of their lives. Tris Prior makes a choice that surprises everyone. Then Tris and her fellow faction-members have to live through a highly competitive initiation process to live out the choice they have made. They must undergo extreme physical and intense psychological tests, that transform them all. But Tris has a secret that she is Divergent, which means she doesn't fit into any one group. If anyone knew, it would mean a certain death. As she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly peaceful society, this secret might help her save the people she loves... or it might destroy her.

I read the Divergent book back in 2013 and I really enjoyed it and I managed to read it in a space of 3 days because I was hooked!!

So I was very excited when I heard that they were making a movie and when I found out who was playing Tris, I wasn't sure how the movie would go with her being the main character. If you don't already know, the actress who plays Tris is Shailene Woodley

Previous to her playing Tris, she played a character called Amy in The Secret Life of An American Teenage where at 16 she gets pregnant and the show is about her raising her son with the help from her family and the baby daddy.

So she play this character for 5 years, I wasn't sure if she would be able to hand the action scenes but she has proved me wrong and now I can't see anybody else playing her characters so huge shout out to Shailene for proving me wrong!!

Back to the movie at hand, I really enjoyed it because it had romance, friendship, comedy, action, drama, a storyline but if you have read the books then you realise that they didn't include some of the storyline into the movie but they have managed a way around that without the story not making sense.

But all in all, it is a great movie!! High Recommend

Enjoy!! :D xxx

Fuller House Pilot

So I saw the cast of Fuller House on the Ellen Show and this was back in the beginning of February and I saw the clip for Fuller House and thought it looked really funny but I forget about it until I saw it on my Netflix account last week and then I put 2&2 together and realised it was the what the show that the cast were on Ellen show promoting so I thought I would give it ago and see what I thought.

I sort of knew it was the spin off from Full House and I love Fuller House it so funny and it is really family friendlyand they bring back a lot of the old cast from Full House the only person that they didn't bring back is Michelle Tanner.

Fuller House is a spin-off series based on the hit ABC family sitcom Full House (1987-95)
created and executive produced by Jeff Franklin for Netflix. DJ Tanner-Fuller (Candace
Cameron-Bure) is a recently widowed mom to a 13-year-old named Jackson (Michael
Campion), 7-year-old named Max (Elias Harger), and a newborn son named Tommy (Fox
and Dashiell Messitt). After realizing she is unable to cope with the demands of holding
a full time job as veterinarian and raising three kids, her sister Stephanie (Jodie
Sweetin) and childhood best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber), who is also the mother of a
13-year-old daughter (Soni Bringas), offer to move in to bring up her children.

I am really enjoying Fuller House, that I have decided to watch Full House from the beginning to see where it started and I am really enjoying this one as well.

I would highly recommend both shows.

Love Finds You In Valentine

To be honest with you, I haven't watch many Movies lately  but  I am going to have to find one and then watch it because this week it is about a Movie! So I found one called: Love Finds You in Valentine and it is based in the country.

If you know from my previous blogs, I love American Country Movies and this one also didn't disappoint.

What can a California girl do with a few dusty acres of land in rural Nebraska? So Kennedy Blaine wonders after she inherits a ranch in the small, western style town of Valentine, Nebraska.

As Kennedy makes arrangements to sell the property, she finds herself drawn to the ranch and to it's attractive manger, Derek Sterling. She decides to spend the summer in her ancestral home and reconnect with family members. But soon Kennedy is subjected to harassment by someone who clearly wants her to leave Valentine. Depending on God's protection and Derek's assistance, she sets out to discover who is behind the offenses. But when her search reveals painful details about her family and raises questions about Derek's own past, will Kennedy still want to know the truth?

It had romance, family, comedy, action (okay like a bit!) and history! What more can you want from one movie!!

The actress who plays Kennedy, is portrayed by Michaela McManus who played Lindsey Strauss in One Tree Hill, Lucas love interest. It was very strange to see her riding a horse and living in Nebraska but I got over that quite quickly as the movie continued.

If you watch this movie, you won't be disappointed!!

Enjoy!! :)

Shadowhunters Pilot

This is a new series from Freeform which is the new name for ABC Family and it is called Shadowhunters.

Clary Fray is a normal teenager living in Brooklyn with her mother. One day, she
discovers that she is descended from a line of Shadowhunters; humans born with angelic blood that fight to protect our world from demons. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary must team up with these Shadowhunters: Jace, Alec and Isabelle and her best friend Simon on a quest to find her mother and recover her past.

I really enjoyed the first episode and I really want to find out how the storyline continues and I hope she finds her mother. There is also the love rectangle between Jace, Clary, Isabelle and Simon but the problem is that she needs both of them in her life for different reasons and I don't think she will want to lose any of them which could cause some trouble in the future.

The chemistry between all the actors which what makes the series works because you know that they all get along in real life. There is comedy in the mist of the darkness of demons and it is about finding out who you are as a person and what you are capable of doing without you knowing.

It is also the power of friendship, how much friends are wiling to do for each other if one of them is in trouble.

Enjoy!!!

The Spirit of Christmas

As much as I love a classic Christmas movie, I am not talking about Christmas movies that were made in the 1970's. Boy and Girl meet and fall in love - that type of classic.

This isn't your typical storyline because the guy that she becomes interested in unavailable seeing as he is a ghost so I was curious how the storyline was going to be and how he died.

With a promotion on the line, ambitious young lawyer Kate heads to Vermont to broker the sale of an old inn. Kate has her work cut out for her when she learns its haunted and she meets Daniel Forsythe - a handsome man who died 95 years ago! Each year, Daniel takes human form exactly twelve days before Christmas, unable to move on with the mystery of his death unsolved. Determined to help Daniel, Kate finds herself in an unlikely romance with the dashing Christmas spirit.

The story starts off that we meet this lawyer Kate Jordan and she has been given the job to get Hollygrove Inn appraised but there is one problem that there is a ghost but he isn't a ghost he is a human that does not what her there and does everything in his power to get rid of her but she doesn't scare easily.

I think the reason that this movie is so good is because of the chemistry between the two actors, you can feel and believe it and that is what makes a great movie when you want to watch it over and over again even though you only watched it the previous day.

There is one scene that I find rather amusing and it baffles me as well. So there is banter going on between the two characters about trying to figure out why Daniel died but while this is going on Walter who looks after the Inn, in standing in the middle of them just listening and I feel the scene would be so much better without him standing there.

I hope you all enjoy this movie as much as I did!!

Enjoy!

The Mysteries of Laura Pilot

This is another series that has already started and I am not sure why I haven't done a blog about it yet.. because it is really funny despite being a show about homicides.

The series follows the life of Laura Diamond, a homicide detective with the New York Police Department, who balances her day job with her off-duty hours as a single mother to twin sons. Meanwhile, she is trying to get Captain Jake Broderick, her soon-to-be-former-husband, who is also her boss, to sign the divorce papers.

Laura Diamond is so funny, she is this down to earth mother of twins but she is also works as Homicide Detective. Debra Messing who plays Laura Diamond portrays her really well, you actually believe that she is a detective!

It is quite funny that Josh Lucas who portrays Jake Broderick, also had another character who was called Josh in the movie Sweet Home Alabama who refused to sign the divorce papers but in this case I am not sure that I want the two main characters to get back together.

You can never really forgive somebody once they cheat on you because you are never entirely sure that they won't do it again but I like Jake personality because it is obviously that he still care about his family even though he isn't the mature out of the parents in the relationship.
The homicides aren't too scary as well with is good if you don't like death too much, the episodes are more consistent of how Laura figures out how the murdered committed the crime. it changes the dynamic of Laura and Josh relationship now that he is the Captain, he gives her a lot of slack on how Laura goes about in finding out who did it.
It is a very funny show and I would highly recommend it anybody, haha I just had a thought I wouldn't be writing a blog about it if I didn't think it was good!!

Enjoy!!
